Best All-Round 8K Random Worlds: Trader, Cities, Tier 5 POIs
Most seed lists chase one extreme: the closest trader, the biggest city count, the most late-game POIs. This list goes for balance instead. Every seed below was generated at world size 8192 (8K) with the default options, and each one is ranked on three things at once: how close the nearest trader is to your spawn, how many cities the map has, and how many tier 5 POIs it holds. The ranking is the sum of the three ranks, so a seed has to be good at everything rather than brilliant at one thing.

What separates them is trader distance, tier 5 count, total POIs, water and the biome split. Seeds are case sensitive, so type them exactly as written, including the capitals and the space in Blood Moon.
The ranking, best first
1. haven (South Obemu Valley)
This is the strongest all-rounder of the group. It ties for the most tier 5 POIs on the list at 49, has the most POIs of any seed here at 1902, and has 20 traders. The nearest trader sits 505 m from the spawn. It also has the most water of the eight at 5%, which makes it the pick if you like a map with a few lakes or rivers to look at. Wasteland covers 25% of the map, and Snow is 23%.
2. Blood Moon (Gifufa Territory)
The nearest trader is 513 m from the spawn, and the map has 20 traders and 47 tier 5 POIs. It has 1896 POIs overall, the second-highest total here. Water is the story in the other direction: at 1% it is the driest map on the list, so you get more land for your money. Burnt Forest takes 20% and Desert 22%.
3. dieanotherday (Sihioze Territory)
Its trader is the second-closest of all eight at 491 m from the spawn, and it has 20 traders in total. Tier 5 POIs come to 47, and the POI total is 1845. Desert is its largest biome at 24%, ahead of Wasteland at 23%, so this is the seed that leans most toward desert. Water is 3%.
4. Dexterra (Lecafa Valley)
A trader at 514 m, 20 traders in all, and 48 tier 5 POIs, only one short of the top. The cost is its POI total: 1793 is the lowest of the eight, so if you value sheer variety it falls behind the others. Snow is its biggest biome at 23% and Wasteland follows at 24%. Water is 3%.
5. apocalypse (Old Zugihi Valley)
The nearest trader is 524 m from the spawn, there are 19 traders, and 47 tier 5 POIs. It holds 1869 POIs and has 4% water, the second-highest on the list after haven. Wasteland is 25% and Burnt Forest 19%.
6. 42 (North Wezeva Territory)
This seed has the closest trader of the entire list, 492 m from the spawn, though only by a single metre ahead of dieanotherday's 491 m being the true closest. It has 19 traders, 46 tier 5 POIs and 1875 POIs in all. The tier 5 count is the weakest among the top six, which is what holds it back. Water is 2%, and Wasteland is 25%.
7. 1 (Deluvisa County)
It matches the best tier 5 count on the list at 49, which is a real draw for endgame players, but the nearest trader is 568 m from the spawn, one of the longer walks here. It has 19 traders and 1838 POIs. Desert covers 24% of the map, and Burnt Forest is 20%. Water is 3%.
8. 69 (Iwomena Territory)
The weakest of the eight on the combined score, though still a solid map. The nearest trader is 559 m from the spawn, there are 18 traders (the fewest here), and 47 tier 5 POIs. It has 1874 POIs and 3% water. Desert is 23% and Wasteland 23%.

Which seed suits which player

You want more dry land. Blood Moon has just 1% water, and 42 has 2%. If you would rather have some water on the map, haven has 5% and apocalypse has 4%.
You want a desert-heavy or wasteland-heavy world. dieanotherday and 1 both give Desert 24%. For Wasteland, haven, apocalypse and 42 each reach 25%.
Questions
Do all eight seeds have the same number of cities?
Yes. Each one has 6 cities and 20 towns in all, so city count does not separate them. The ranking is decided by trader distance and tier 5 POIs.
Which seed has the closest trader to the spawn?
dieanotherday, at 491 m. 42 is next at 492 m. In the full ranking they place third and sixth, because the combined score also counts tier 5 POIs and cities.
Which seed has the most tier 5 POIs?
haven and 1 tie at 49. Tier 5 POIs are the hardest in the game, so either map gives you plenty of them, but haven pairs that count with a nearer trader.
Does the seed name need exact capitals?
Yes, seeds are case sensitive in the game. Enter Blood Moon and Dexterra with their capitals, and the rest in lowercase or as numbers exactly as listed.
